Terms & Conditions
We refer to each individual workshop or class as a Songwriting Club Session, and multi-session or termly clubs as Songwriting Club.
Songwriting Club Sessions and Songwriting Club must be booked and paid for in advance via our website. In case of any technical problems that mean the website cannot be accessed, or if there is a problem with our payment facility, we will provide you with our bank account details so that payments can be made by bank transfer.
Our Songwriting Club teacher will endeavour to ensure that Sessions always begin and end in a timely manner. Participants will be equally encouraged to engage fully during the session and will be made to feel welcome to express their thoughts, feelings, and ideas, and be able to collaborate as part of the songwriting process as much as they feel comfortable and confident to do so. No participant will be pressured to contribute should they not wish to do so.
Finished Songwriting Club Songs will generally be shared on a weekly or bi-weekly basis within 24 hours of the Songwriting Club Session; depending on the length or complexity of the Song, Song creation may span more than one session. Songwriting Club will email the song through as an attachment.
Downloaded Songwriting Club Songs can be shared with family and close friends, however other children or participants involved in the Songwriting Club Session must not be named to protect privacy. Songwriting Club recordings must not be reproduced commercially in any way.
Song creation is enabled and led by the Songwriting Club teacher, and Songwriting Club will retain full copyright of the Songs written within Songwriting Club Sessions and as part of Songwriting Club.
Cancellation of a Session by Songwriting Club
In the event that a Songwriting Club Session is cancelled at short notice due to unforeseen illness, emergency, or external circumstances beyond our control, Songwriting Club will inform the school or host organisation as soon as possible so that participants and/or parents can be notified.
In the rare case that the Songwriting Club teacher is unable to provide tuition on an agreed day for any other reason, the teacher will provide at least one week’s notice. As well as notifying the school or host organisation, the Songwriting Club teacher will also verbally notify participants and/or parents at the end of the previous week’s lesson.
Songwriting Club will happily arrange for a refund of any cancelled Session, or extend credit to a future Session or Club, when contacted to do so.
